SBX Kickback Battle 2021 Loopstation

The loopstation half of the Kickback Battle, and the worldwide debut of the RC-505mkII: all eight competitors were sent prototypes of the machine and played the whole competition on hardware nobody else had yet. Entry was by wildcard, opened on 5 May 2021 — RC-505 Day — and the eight winners were announced a month later. Like the solo edition it was fought from home, each round recorded, mixed and mastered before release, and it ran from 8 August to 17 October 2021. Kristóf took it, beating Robin 2–1 in the final after a seeding round he had already topped.
